What are the inspection items and standards for optical lenses?

Optical lens manufacturers introduce to you that the glass initially used to make lenses is ordinary window glass or pimples on wine bottles, which are shaped like "crowns", hence the name "crown glass" or "crown glass". At the time, the glass was extremely uneven and full of foam. Besides crown glass, there is another type of flint glass with high lead content.

Optical glass is mixed with high-purity silicon, boron, sodium, potassium, zinc, lead, magnesium, calcium, barium and other oxides according to a specific formula, melted at high temperature in a platinum crucible, and stirred uniformly with ultrasonic waves to remove air bubbles; then slowly cooled for a long time time to avoid internal stress in the glass block. The cooled glass block must be optically measured to check compliance with specifications for purity, transparency, uniformity, refractive index and dispersion index. A qualified glass block is heated and forged to form an optical lens embryo.
